The Iconic American Battle rifle. A 30-06 caliber semi automatic rifle used during ww2. It is commonly cited as the best firearm of ww2 in terms of quality, stopping power and legacy. Though it is an early example of a semi automatic rifle, it is not the first as Mexico had used the Mondragón rifle during the mexican revolution of 1910 and France would use the semi-experimental Fusil Automatique in 1917.
