The vz.58 is a Czechoslovakian rifle that fires the 7.62x39 cartridge, much like the AK-47.
The rifle was designed when the Soviets called for all Warsaw Pact countries to standardize ammunition. Czech didn't have a weapon that fired the 7.62 cartridge so they developed one.
Dispite the rifle's visual simularities to the AK47, the vz.58 shares no common parts with the Kalashnikov rifles and has an entirely different method of operation .
