Asset Overview
A #7 Stanley wood plane - a jointer - used for preparing boards to be edge-joined, or smoothing large surfaces. This one has a thin blade that needs replacing.
This is an attempt at scanning a very, very shiny object using a polarized filter. Nearly every surface on this object is high-gloss, or at least highly reflective at different angles. I'm actually pretty pleased with the outcome, all things considered.
The polarized lens only removes reflections from on angle of a surface. So I could get rid of reflections from a horizontal surface or a vertical surface, but not both. So, it's not a cure all, but should be very useful in many cases.
