Atis bathing boiler

The Atis bathing furnace presented here is a single-tap, wall-mounted bathroom furnace, meaning that it provided water from one outlet. It was installed directly above the points where the heated water was used: a sink or bathtub. The Atis boiler has an open combustion chamber, which means that it took air from inside the room in which it was installed. Water was heated in flow, i.e., cold water, flowing through a coil, was heated by a flame coming out of the main burner placed below the heater coil housing. The housing of the device is characteristic of 1930s' aesthetics. It was made of zinc-plated sheet metal and covered in nickel plating with decorative cut-outs at the top.
