My entry for the 'Globe' prompt for the Household Props Challenge.
This one was indeed a challenge! I wanted to get a semi-accurate style world map, so I got a texture, sized it down to 256 pixels and attempted to UV map it on a cube with a subdivision modifier. Ended up at 300 tris exactly.
Really struggled with a few UV alignments. Not my forte. Perhaps it may have been easier with a larger texture, I am not sure. If anyone wants to download and share a better method of UV unwrapping, that would be amazing!
