IKEA Anima Chair / Quark's Bar Chair

Anima Chair designed by Tord Björklund for IKEA, 1991. The Anima Chair was famously used as seating for Quark's Bar in Star Trek Deep Space Nine. The first IKEA in the United States opened in 1985 in Pennsylvania, and expanded to California after purchasing STØR Furnishings International in 1992. While now ubiquitous in US homes, most of the American public was unfamiliar with IKEA designs when DS9 premiered in 1993. This may be why set decorators were able to get away with using IKEA products so liberally in the show. I'm brand new to 3D modeling and this is my first upload, made in Maya and colorized in Unity.
