We need your help to design a small pedestrian bridge over a creek near Medellin, Colombia, South America
Recently there have been heavy rains and a landslide destroyed the previous bridge.
The bridge needs to be as low cost as possible. The community doesn’t have much money and simple and readily available materials should be used to keep costs down.
This bridge is not being built in the United States. The bridge does not need an engineer stamp / certification. The bridge is to be built in a remote area where there are no building requirements / codes.
We would need the bridge to meet the following requirements:
Steel Truss Bridge
12m bridge length
2m bridge width
Bridge to be built 1m above the level of the existing path.
We would need a simple set of blueprints as the final product.
Hopefully this is a good starting point. Please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll get back to you right away.
