Asset Overview

A test of photogrammetry of a very small object. The lead token depicts wheat and were common between approx. 1700-1850 when small demonination coinage was in low supply so farm labourers were often paid with lead tokens minted directly by the land owner. The majority include very basic design, such as lines, crosses, wheat etc, but others with more complex finds are often found and include imagery such as animals, text and numbers. This one was of particular low quality lead and very crumbly as compared to the usual quality of preservation when found. This is an artefact I found metal detecting, along with a dozen or so others which I will gradually work my way around to scanning.
