Asset Overview
The initiative responds to a voluntary effort based on a strategy of conservation, alliance and long-term commitment that corresponds to the guidelines defined in the Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on those linked to water, the city, consumption, climate, ecosystems, and partnerships - SDG6, SDG11, SDG12, SDG13, SDG15, SDG17.
Risks due to land use change and deforestation of hillsides for the introduction of agricultural crops (beans, corn, pineapple, pitaya) affect the functionalities and resilience capacities of ecosystems and communities in the face of eventualities (droughts, floods, droughts, droughts) intensified by climate change.
The risks and threats described above have been duly managed, controlled and reduced by the conservation efforts carried out under the Program, which are evaluated using indicators of connectivity, forest integrity, deforestation or loss of tree cover.
