Here are some props I did as part of a group project in which we replicated an area on campus. The intention is for the pieces to be able to be used repeteadly in order to form different environments. I think that I did decently, but if I could go back I would structure my brick surfaces so that they fit better together. I was very focused on the curve, so I did not think about how well the curve would fit to the interior as much as I probably should have.
I created the brick texture by hand, by carving indents across the surfaces in substance painter. It was a lot of work, but I like the result. The chain link was made using a royalty free pattern as an alpha. Everything else was done by me with brushes and effects in substance painter.
All in all, this was a good experience to take into the future. Modular props require more calculative planning. I will certainly be more precise going forward.
I will have the link for the group project up shortly.
