Asset Overview

A relatively simple chest model created for a real time graphics class at QUT. One of the very first models I've assembled in Maya, based off of my lecturer's model. I used this tutorial to help me with the wood textures: https://youtu.be/W_ZZE771h7Q The metal texture is based off of the 'Liquour Locker' chest model from TF2, with rivets and lightly shaded outlines. I could possibly create a better metal texture based off of the highlighting techniques demonstrated in this video: https://youtu.be/IQodOJ3-dCQ but that may be doing too much for what's required in the assignment. I also attempted to make a version with baked ambient occlusion, but due to errors that I've yet to know how to solve and don't have time to deal with, I forcibly ditched it. For some reason the lock of the chest appears to be broken, with two triangular parts protruding from the sides. I'm unsure how to resolve this, as I've already tried deleting the model's history.
