A cross slab was identified in the townland of Ballinaboy Towards the bottom of a S-facing slope. The stone (dims. 0.52m x 0.48m; T 0.15m) has an incised ringed cross and an inscription interpreted as CROBRAN . The stone was discovered near a small rectangular enclosure (RO040-014001-) known locally as St Ronan's church is within a circular enclosure, but nothing survives of this site. The stone was recovered by the National Museum of Ireland and is not held in their collection. Thanks to the NMI for access.
