Boslow Inscribed Stone, Cornwall

This isolated stone sits at the eastern edge of Carnyorth Common in the far west of Cornwall. A medieval inscription and cross are carved into the west face, and a cross potent on the south. The inscription appears at first look to read vertically in two lines: "taet uena". The last "a" is pretty tricky as at first glance appears to be a badly executed "e". However there is room for further analysis, as well as comparison with other local inscriptions. Stylistically, it is likely that this was carved between the 8th and 11th centuries.
