The Church of St. George is located in Lalibela, a town in northern Ethiopia. The church dates back to the 12th or 13th century, and was built/carved from the top down, into the ground, from a single piece of rock. Visitors can also go inside the church. It is one of eleven rock-hewn churches making up the Lalibela UNESCO World Heritage Site. Photos taken and 3D reconstruction by Ben Kreimer.
