Large extensions of Motacú islands (nesting and feeding sites) continue to be destroyed for the advancement of the cattle and now agricultural frontier, which has become the main latent threat to the species.
LPF, along with Aves Bolivianas, have decided to embark on and continue with this task, in line with the idea of giving a new perspective to the conservation of this emblematic species, giving it an approach that seeks transcendental and immediate results for the Bluebeard and especially for its habitat.
The department of Beni or the great region of the mojos plains is mainly the site where the project is developed. This zone of work or action is due to the marked distribution of the Bluebearded Paraba.
