An experimental paratrooper carbine developed for anti-robot combat customized and used by Cpl. Hans Welner during the Xeno invasion. After spending months separated from his squad, the rifle has deteriorated quite a bit, but he still keeps the important parts maintained and lubricated. It looks rough but it's still accurate enough to shoot the fleas off of a dog's back at 300 yards!
The LX-1 is a folding rifle, and is meanted to be carried in a holster. In addition, there is a secondary 12 gauge smoothbore barrel that is intended for special EMP projectiles for fighting Robots. Ordinary 12 gauge shotgun shells can also be used. The LX-1 uses a Pederson style toggle delayed blowback operating system and feeds via EnBloc clips.
