Asset Overview
Daithi's Pillar stone is located in the heart of the Rathcorghan Complex in Co. Roscommon. It is a red sandstone, standing stone said to reflect the burial place of the last pagan king of Ireland. Excavation in the 1980's revealed there to be no burials at the site. The stone sites within a barrow features which is cut by a field boundary of possible medieval date.
