Asset Overview
This somewhat altered eclogite specimen comes from Sonoma County, California. It is composed mostly of green omphacite (pyroxene) that is atlering to chlorite and actinolite. Conspicuous red garnet is also present. Some eclogites are much prettier than this sample and have bright green and red Christmas tree colors. The xspecimen is 9 cm wide.
