This rock art panel is located in the Bear Alcove area (06-00285) of the Palatki Cultural Heritage site. This site is located in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest to the northwest of Sedona Arizona.
This panel has pictographs and petroglyphs created primarily by the Sinagua and Yavapai paleo and proto-historic native American cultures.
This model is primarily of symbols painted bySinagua paleo-indians. the circle and arc may be respresenting the supernova of July 1054 that created the Crab Nebula. The addition of later circles and other elements to create a face like composite figure may be reresentative of the Hopi spirit Masaw
