This is meant for Gustav's eyes only, as it is a work in progress. No texturing has been done – material-wise it is completely blank.
The left one (with dimples) is the high-poly golf ball, most closely resembling the original golf ball, while suffering a very high poly count (close to a million faces).
The right one (faceted) is the low-poly golf ball (only 1.4K tris), which we will use as a computationally non-intensive geometry, while baking, i.e. projecting, the surface of the high-poly one onto it, so as to achieve an adequate resemblance to the actual object, while making sure it is unproblematic to render, even in a cell phone environment.
