A Haemacytometer is a small device used to count the number of blood cells within a sample of blood. The haemacytometer works by using a small slide of definite known volume to determine the concentration of a substance within a given volume of liquid. While it was initially crafted for the use of blood cell counts, haemacytometers can be used for various applications. This could include, but is by no means limited to, the acts of studying sperm counts, processing cells for cultures, and determining the size of a cell.
