A soil monolith of the Jory series. Oregon's State Soil! The Jory series consists of very deep, well drained soils that formed in colluvium and residuum derived from sedimentary and basic igneous bedrock. They are on foothills and have slopes of 2 to 90 percent. The mean annual precipitation is about 45 inches and the mean annual temperature is about 53 degrees F.
