Legionnaire Mk.1 (Older Model Version)

This is the initial production version of the fictional new tank I've been working on. I've set its introduction to 1984. Its internal crew layout, loading and sighting systems resemble that of the Type 90. Its armament comes in the form of an L/55 120mm smoothbore cannon firing standard NATO rounds. Its frontal turret armor is optimized to defend against kinetic threats, however it does not completely lack protection against chemical threats, especially on the turret sides, which are optimized for chemical protection. The frontal hull lacks in kinetic protection, and is only just good enough to protect against common chemical threats of the era. It features a diesel engine and its mobility is comparable to that of the Leopard 2A4, despite being slightly smaller/lighter.
