This limestone slab (H 0.55m above ground; L 0.5m; T 0.9-0.125m), with broad faces to the E and W, appears to be roughly cut to form a grave marker embedded in the interior of Molough abbey (TS088-031----). There are horizontal lines/scores of ogham script visible on the SW angle, c. 0.07m long and c. 12 scores in all within a space of 0.3m, but no attempt at interpretation is possible. The stone is weathered with some spawling evident. The stone was noted by Macalister (1945, 256) as being outside the old cemetery (TS088-032004-) at Newcastle (http://webgis.archaeology.ie/historicenvironment/, TS088-076----).
