Área de conservación Privada Altos de Águila Sur

The property is located in the southern part of the commune of Paine, in the Metropolitan Region, in the eastern part of the Cantillana mountain range, in its section belonging to the Maipo Province. It is immersed in the Mediterranean ecoregion, being part of an area that is area recognized worldwide as a biodiversity hotspot. In addition, the Cantillana mountain range is catalogued as a Priority Conservation Site. The entire property consists of 393ha and was acquired more than 20 years ago with the intention of avoiding the installation of a landfill on the site and, instead, developing a low-density real estate project through two ecological condominiums located in the lower elevations and promoting the conservation of natural areas by defining a portion of the 232 ha property as a conservation zone. A "Derecho Real de Conservación" contract is currently being formalized in conjunction with the Tierra Austral Foundation.
