This is a tour of the interaction between RNA, RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and the drug remdesivir. RdRp is essential for the replication of the SARS-CoV-2 genome. Remdesivir is a drug that inhibits the RNA synthesis function of this protein, by operating as an adenosine analogue, and is therefore a potential candidate for treatment of COVID-19.
