The two big new things needed to make this pin were beziar curves and spin. Firstly, the beziar curve can be draw/extruded in and then shaped with the handles. Secondly, once you have a curve, if you want to make it 3D in a sort of spherical way, then you can first convert the curve to a mesh and then spin all the vertices. Background image references, face and edge beveling, smoothe shading, sliding (GG), and subsurface division modifier were all also used in the making of this pin.
