Package Overview

Important. This product uses Built-In Rendering Pipeline and Post-Processing Stack (v2).


Coronavirus / SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 / Corona Virus Disease low-poly 3D model with PBR textures. Includes cross-section version with RNA spiral exposed. High-quality and production-ready. Brought to you by the professional 3D artist Sergey Danchenko.

####### FEATURES #######


- One Coronavirus / SARS-CoV-2 low-poly 3D model with PBR textures prefab plus one cross-section version prefab.
- This 3D model design was based on the image in Public Domain that was released by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is expected to be free of any copyright issues.
- Model parts are separate objects/meshes: Envelope, Spike Glycoprotein, Hemagglutinin-Esterase Dimer (HE), E-Protein, M-Protein, RNA (6 sub-meshes in total).
- PBR textures for Unity's Standard Shader (Metallic/Smoothness version).
- Collider components on both prefabs.
- Clean geometry, good surface flow and mesh topology.
- The product is ready to be animated (no animations out of the box are included).
- Quick usage documentation in PDF format.


####### TECHNICAL DETAILS #######


- The integral object has 45512 vertices and 82150 triangles. The cross-section version is 25762 vertices and 45794 triangles.
- All geometry meshes are triangulated. All polygons are triangles (ensures normal map consistency).
- Polygons are single-sided.
- There are no LOD objects included for this asset.
- Not a real-world scale object (the original object is microscopic).
- Units system is metric. 1 unit = 1m.
- Dimensions of the object / physical sizes: diameter of approx. 0.25m / 0.25 units. Kindly scale the object(s) to suit your requirements if necessary.

- UV-mapped and unwrapped with minimum distortions. UVs are packed for maximum texel density.
- Only the Envelope UVs are uniquely mapped. Other sub-meshes have overlapping UVs.
- Texel density for all sub-meshes except the Envelope is ~185 px/cm for a 4096x4096 texture map. The Envelope is UV mapped to ~85 px/cm.
- Only one UV-channel (map1) on meshes. No second UV channel for lightmap baking is provided out of the box.
- Texture bitmaps are 4096x4096 pixels (high-res 4k textures) in a TARGA file format (.TGA).
- Three texture bitmaps in total: BaseColor, Normal Map and Occlusion. For Metallic and Smoothness direct values are used (no textures necessary).


####### USAGE NOTES #######


Your project configuration may affect how the asset looks and renders upon import. I've used Project Settings from the standard project template "3D With Extras" to produce preview images. The Color Space in Player settings should be set to Linear.


To get in the demo scene(s) a similar look in terms of shadows as shown on preview images, configure your project to Shadow Distance of 35 and use four shadow cascades. Alternatively, use standard project template "3D With Extras" as a base for your project.


The main camera by default is configured to render object(s) like demonstrated on the first preview image. For different camera angles and positions don't forget to tweak Depth of Field post-processing effect.


Post-processing effects are controlled by the volume profile located in the Settings folder.


Demo scene(s) uses real-time directional lights with real-time soft shadows. Baked Global Illumination is not used.


Environment lighting Source is Color. No light probes or reflection probes present in the demo scene(s).
