Package Overview

Modern Japanese furniture consists of wood and well wood. There's also some touches of fabric here and there, but the primary material is by far wood. And that's what makes it special. There's no extra noise in the designs, just wood.

This asset pack includes 75 assets to create a modern Japanese apartment environment. All assets are optimized to run well on realtime applications. The assets utilize repeated textures so it's easy to swap the included textures with your own for a different style.

Included assets:

  • 1 bed design with 4 different widths
  • 1 chair used with kotatsu
  • 1 sofa set with sofa, bench and a single person sofa
  • 5 cupboard designs
  • 1 ceiling light, 2 desk light and 1 floor light
  • 4 bookshelf designs and 4 wall shelves
  • 1 nightstand
  • 3 Sideboards with size variations
  • 3 TV stands
  • 3 shelves with storage compartments
  • 5 different tables with size variations
  • 1 kotatsu blanket
  • 8 baskets to store stuff
  • 9 various props (mirrors, dust bins, etc)
  • 2 pillows

The poly count of the objects varies between 76 and 10876 with most being less than 1000 so these are well optimized to be used in real-time applications and can run even on mobile! This does not mean there's a compromise in quality. Thanks to weighed normals, it's possible to have low poly models which look like they should have double or triple the amount of polycount. Texture resolution varies between 2048px and 4096px.

Most models use the same textures, so they are fairly low cost to use on realtime applications. Include texture types are:

  • Albedo
  • Normal Map
  • Packed PBR (Roughness, Metalness, Ambient Occlusion)

Tiled textures have also the Roughness material extracted from the packed PBR for better compatibility with most 3D suites.

The packaged PBR texture has the following textures assigned on RGB channels:

  • Red = Ambient Occlusion
  • Green = Roughness
  • Blue = Metalness

If you have any questions regarding the 3D models, please do not hesitate to send me a message :)
