A soil monolith of the Steiwer series.
The Steiwer series consists of moderately deep, well drained soils that formed in glaciolacustrine deposits mixed with loamy colluvium derived from sedimentary rocks. Steiwer soils are on low hills adjacent to the Willamette Valley. Slopes are 3 to 60 percent. The mean annual precipitation is about 50 inches and the mean annual temperature is about 52 degrees F.
