More irritations with footwear. I need to work on lighting in the studio. Artifaction like this isn't acceptable. All in all, I'm pleased with how the texture turned out on the woven nylon. Looks pretty true to the product, and I expected a lot more blotches of dead texture than what appeared. I can pretty confidently chalk up the issues here to an inadequate environment and undisciplined scanning (whoops). Reshooting tomorrow.
EDIT: Looks like only 55 of the 77 photos aligned. How very curious
