This is a recreation of the Philippeion in Olympia,Greece; a temple dedicated to Philip II and his royal family. The origional was finished in 338 BCE. This was the only temple dedicated to a human in Olympia.
Inside the origional, there was a statue of Philip II, his son Alexander the Great and his royal macedonian family. It was made of ivory and gold. This is important because a statue of Zeus at the same place was so the sulptor was putting the roal family on par with the king of the gods.
The temple was made in Ionic style (an acnient Greek style used in architecture).
Not much remains of the temple outside a little bit of the base and a few broken collumns. None the less, this temple and everything else at Olympia is a spectical to see.
