Asset Overview

**Truncus Arteriosus** The heart is dominated by a right ventricle profile. Venous return is normal. A truncus arteriosus is present associated with a high ventricular septal defect and thick-walled ventricles with small chamber volume on both sides. The truncal valve is tricuspid, and the truncus gives rise to two pulmonary arteries from the left posterior aspect. There is no common pulmonary artery. The aortic arch is normal and the ductus closed.
