UNSC Cradle-class Refit Station

The Cradle class refit station is a mobile space station classification in the UNSC navy. It dwarves almost all UNSC ships in terms of size and is the Swiss army knife of UNSC repair facilities. The Cradle is everything a fleet needs, very mobile and able to accompany battlegroups with 4 jump drives, and has endless storage and machinery to refine and produce repair materials. It can repair/resupply up to 8 escort ships at once, has a flythough welder lane, and extendable connectors and welders to service cruisers. Combining mobility and utility, the Cradle can keep a battlegroup alive. However, in more desperate situations, Cradles are often sacrificed to be used as shields for UNSC ships from incoming salvos of plasma fire due to it's huge surface area and mobility. The station has no weapons systems, and while big enough to endure a large amount of damage, is best kept behind the lines.
