"Victory" mosaic (1971) Kyiv

The work of Galina Zubchenko and Grigory Prishedko adorns the wall of the administrative building of the National Cancer Institute. As befits the place, the panel is a bit frightening, but at the same time optimistic. Epic doctors in white coats, but with dark circles under their eyes, use the torch of science (or radiation therapy?) to defeat the monster - almost like the new followers of St. George. The panel is located on the northern wall of the building, and therefore almost did not burn out. Bright colors of multicolored smalt are especially impressive on a gloomy day, even despite parked cars and plastic visors around.
