Asset Overview

Fossil angiosperm *Cercidiphyllum genesevianam* and other associated plant fossils from the Paleocene of Alberta, Canada. Living *Cercidiphyllum*, or katsura, is native to Japan, but may be seen in cultivation elsewhere. Associated with the Cercidiphyllum leaf are conifer branchlets. Specimen is from the Cornell Unversity Paleobotanical Collection (CUPC), Ithaca, New York (#2082). Length of specimen is approximately 13.5 cm. Model by Emily Hauf.
