Asset Overview
A beech tree (*Fagus sylvatica*) captured in Wytham Woods for BBC Countryfile. The tree has an estimated volume of 68 m3 storing ~20 tonnes of carbon.
Here is a picture of Mat Disney, Margherita Taylor and myself standing under the canopy.
A RIEGL VZ-400 laser scanner was positioned at 5 locations around the tree capturing a total of 34 million individual data points (downsampled here).
