Sequence of Tortonian carbonatic sediments deposited above volcanic basement. The sediments are mainly carbonatic turbidites, capped by Messinian limestones (Terminal Carbonate Complex). There is an [equivalent sequence on the nearby "La Molata" hill](https://skfb.ly/osZ6S).
