Asset Overview
Dacite containing a xenolith of biotite-garnet schist from the metamorphic basement, and individual garnets as well, which likely come from the same source. Black crystals in the dacite are biotite, and white ones are plagioclase. Some translucent quartz crystals are also visible. The dacite belongs to a volcanic neck. Hoyazo, Nijar, Almeria region, southern Spain.
