Asset Overview

Using Scaniverse, we scanned this daikon radish from the FNES Farmer's Market, which is located on the Queens College campus. It is one of a pair of radish scans that we did using this beautiful produce from our lovely campus garden! This scan has been edited to showcase not only the radish with its long greens, but also the pedestalling system that we use to support it for scanning. The radish sits on several sturdy tubes of pressed and rolled cardboard, which help to balance its weight out. The tubes themselves are placed on a matte black wooden pedestal that diffuses extra light, so as to capture the most accurate colors that we can using LiDar. The pedestal itself is not visible in this scan, but we wanted to leave in the tubes to show a little of what goes on"behind-the-scenes!"
