Larvikite, sometimes called 'Blue Pearl granite', is a plutonic rock containing large crystals of ternary feldspar. Such a feldspar cannot normally exist on the Earth's surface, so it tries to separate into two more stable feldspars. Micro-scale separations create blue iridescence, similar to the mineral labradorite.
This model was reconstructed from photographs of a real specimen using Agisoft Metashape.
