Practicing techniques for producing low poly models, I did this nice simple low poly tree. I used a Skin Modifier to make the general tree shape, then applied Subsurface Modifier and a couple Decimates, the basic "low poly formula" I've learned. But that wasn't good enough for me, so I proceeded to sculpt more details manually in the trunk and then applied the decimate modifier again to reduce polygon count and make it more cartoonish.
