Asset Overview

This rock was originally a pelite (and before that, a mudstone) that has been heated and migmatised (undergone partial melting) as it was intruded by gabbros and granitic rocks towards the end of the Caledonian orogeny in western Ireland (about 470Ma). I've a Gigapan view of a neighbouring outcrop here: shorturl.at/adt49
