Asset Overview
Mount Diablo, East of Oakland California has some sandstone cliffs and walls. This patch of sandstone is stained with iron bands that that wicked into it like coffee rings onto wet blotter paper. There is even a red deposit of iron oxide (& sulfide?) in the crack that could be ground up and mixed with fat or blood to make a paint.
