Another low poly diorama (under 10k tri's) inspired by surviving a disaster at sea, along the lines of 'Castaway'. Unfortunately in my version the protagonist survived the initial scare only to succumb to a coconut while relaxing under the tree counting his good fortune in more comedy 'Final Destination' fashion.
Even though it's low poly and simple flat colouring, all the scene is mapped to the same pixel density (I am a games artist after all, old habits :) ).
The density is governed by the texture scale for the island itself and the objects all match. I've also rendered in some AO to the textures to give a bit more solidity to the scene.
