My scanning device was a sony Alpha 7RII mirrorless camera. I am proud to share that this model had absolutely no post processing work other than the basic rendering job you see here. I am very excited about growing my fossil portfolio as I know we are entering the era of virtual paleontogy, and I am confident photogrammetry will play a major role in the creation of virtual models of fossils. Such models will be used in a range of paleontology applications primarily anatomical studies of specimens, virtual restoration and digital library curation.
