> In the distant future, a great discovery was made. With specialized measuring instruments in the soil, scientists could tap into the small electric signals given off by plants, and thus began a new era of plant-to-human communication. Seeing this as an opportunity to reignite the tourism sector, the mayor comissioned a "Roaming Oak", a semi-autonomous walking platform that could interpret the electrical signals of the tree rooted in the planter above, and move in accordance to the tree's wishes. On the grand unveiling, the tree-given-legs was activated and began its march... ...to which it stopped at the first sunny clearing it was satisfied with, sat down, and refused to budge.
