This rock is mainly made up of medium crystals with most 0.08 inches (2 mm) in size or less. There are occasional large crystals that do not exceed 0.16 inches (4 mm). The crystals creating this rock are predominantly white to dull grey colored. These rocks however can range in color from dull white to various shades of grey and in rare cases can be a blackish grey. There are no fossils present in this particular rock.
Despite the white coloration the rock doesn't taste salty at all. A e drop of acid on the rock surface results in rapid and immediate effervescence (fizzing and bubbling) suggesting the crystals are likely calcite.
