Asset Overview

Mandible (jaw) of an yearling whitetailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus). Deer was from the piedmont region of North Carolina, USA. Note the lack of wear on the molar teeth, indicating a young age for the animal. 7 of the 8 front teeth were lost before the skeleton was recovered.
