An Example of a Steinmetz Solid

By definition, a steinmetz solid is the shape left behind when you take two or three cylinders that have the same radius, interest them at 90 degrees from each other, and take away everything but the shape that is common between them. In this case, two cylinders of radius 1cm were intersected, one on the XY plane and the other on the XZ plane, to make this shape. It is merely a rough approximation, a visual aid if you will, and as such does not completely represent the actual geometry. However, it's a simplified representation perfect for reference or 3D Printing.
